From airport follow A8 about 6 miles to Corstorphine Road which turns into Haymarket Then Princes Street you will enter a one-way system. Pass through Roxburgh Place onto Queens Street for 3/4 mile. Take right onto Hanover Street cross over Princes Street continue up the hill onto the mound. Take left on High Street -Royal Mile- for 1/4 mile until you reach first crossroads. Take left on North Bridge the hotel is situated about 200 yards on your left.
The hotel is ideally located in the centre of the city, directly adjacent to the main train station. A choice of art galleries and renowned tourist attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyrood House and Our Dynamic Earth are all within easy walking distance. There is also extensive shopping and a wide range of restaurants only a few minutes from the hotel. The Scottish countryside is within easy reach by either road or rail.

Internet and email can be accessed through the hotels ETV system, in each of the bedrooms. All Internet access is high speed broadband. Fax and photocopying facilities are available and the hotel can provide full secretarial services on request from Receptionist.

There are 17 golf courses in Edinburgh alone and many others nearby. Full health club facilities are available complimentary to all hotel guests. The Scotsman hotel is situated close to a natural landmark - Arthur's Seat - a favourite with locals and visitors alike for walking or jogging with breathtaking views over the City. There is a dry ski slope a short drive away from the hotel. Horse riding can be found at the Pentland Hills, just outside of Edinburgh. Concierge are happy to arrange and advise on any of the above as well as any other activities requested by the guest.
Health Club
Escape, a private members health club is complimentary to all hotel guests. Facilities include a 60-station state-of-the-art gym, an aerobics studio, a 16-metre stainless steel swimming pool, a sauna, Steam Room, Tropicarium and Spa pool and Scotlands only Cowshed Spa offering a full range of therapies and treatments and a relaxation area. The 60-station gym includes Precor Cardiovascular equipment, Cybex resistance equipment and Fitlinxx computers, which provide a computerized personal training system. The health club, Escape, is open from 6:30am to 10:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 8:00pm Saturdays and Sundays.
